HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR TEAMMATE?
Andrea Kimi Antonelli: “He’s funny. I have a good relationship with him, I think we get along pretty well and obviously he is a good teammate and a good one to learn from.”
Oliver Bearman: “If he doesn’t say it, I will say it, he is beautiful.”
Antonelli: “You’re beautiful as well.”
Bearman: “We have a good relationship, we get on really well together, we push the team forward and he is quick as well. He is fast and I feel like we are improving each other’s level.”
WHAT IS YOUR TEAMMATE’S BEST QUALITY?
Bearman: “The lips, I think. No, I think he has gotten up to speed really fast, especially in F2 when you are a rookie and you don’t have many laps. You always have to get up to speed fast and he has good consistency, so he is a good all round driver.”
Antonelli: “He is really good over one lap and at the starts. At the starts, this year he has been incredible but also over one lap he is really quick. Even better between the first set and the second set he can find a lot of time, so he is really good at that.”
IF YOUR TEAMMATE WASN’T A RACING DRIVER, WHAT WOULD THEY BE?
Antonelli: “Cyclist. He has the perfect tan line as well.”
Bearman: “Kimi would be a ninja like his uncle.”
Antonelli: “Yeah, my uncle used to have this thing that he wanted to be a ninja.”
Bearman: “I think he would be a ninja, climbing the drains of houses.”
Antonelli: “I don’t even know what I would be. I used to play football as a kid.”
Bearman: “Which position?”
Antonelli: “Striker. But I’m not sure.”
Family, F3 title and words of wisdom: Getting to know Gabriel Bortoleto
WHAT IS YOUR TEAMMATE’S MOST ANNOYING HABIT?
Bearman: “I don’t even find him that annoying. Sometimes he is a bit late to the meeting but it’s okay, I am always late as well. If we are five minutes late, we are normally early.”
Antonelli: “I don’t know his. Actually, last week with his coach we had a habit of stealing his ID and we were threatening him that he would not go back home.”
Bearman: “We play a lot of pranks basically.”
WHO’S THE FUNNIEST?
Antonelli: “I don’t know.”
Bearman: “No one is funnier but we are always making each other laugh, so it’s quite equal. It’s dangerous.”
Antonelli: “I think together we can make people laugh a lot. We laugh a lot as well together. Last week with his trainer, we couldn’t stop laughing. Now our new favourite word is to say a ‘la frutta’. His trainer’s name is Paolo and we always say Paolo a la frutta, which means you’re gone.”
WHAT’S THE MOST EMBARASSING THING YOU’VE DONE WHILST ON THE SAME TEAM?
Antonelli: “The pictures in the costume.”
Bearman: “They printed some pictures of us, we dressed up for easter and they printed some pictures of us and now they are everywhere. There are photos of Kimi being a rabbit and me being a bunny. I’m yellow and he is pink and they are everywhere these photos.”
IF YOU HAD TO COOK A MEAL FOR YOUR TEAMMATE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Antonelli: “For Ollie, pasta.”
Bearman: “Which one? The one we always got in Jeddah.”
Kimi: “Yeah, pasta al Ragu d’Antra.”
Bearman: “Bigoli all’antra. We take the same, so I would make that for him as well.”

WHO’S THE BETTER LOOKING?
Bearman: “Me. You have to say yourself.”
Antonelli: “Honestly, there is no one more beautiful than me.”
WHO KNOWS THE MOST ABOUT CARS?
Bearman: “About lap times, Kimi knows for sure.”
Antonelli: “I don’t know why but I am obsessed with lap times, I know them all. But in history, about car models, he knows more than me.”
Bearman: “We are also quite good at knowing the technical aspect of the car and stuff.”
WHO’S ON THEIR PHONE THE MOST AND WHO TAKES THE LONGEST TO REPLY TO A TEXT?
Antonelli: “It depends which message. There are some messages that I have not replied to yet.”
Bearman: “That’s a good question actually, how many messages have you not replied to on WhatsApp?”
Antonelli: “I don’t think I am that bad. Unread messages, look I have five.”
Bearman: “I have 267.”
Antonelli: “How mate?”
Bearman: “I don’t respond but I respond to Kimi straight away. I guess it just depends on who is asking.”

WHAT IS THE BIGGEST THING YOU’VE LEARNED FROM EACH OTHER?
Bearman: “In life he is teaching me a lot of Italian.”
Antonelli: “Yeah, a lot of expressions.”
Bearman: “I’m teaching you a lot about life because I am much older, I am an old man and he is really young.
Antonelli: “We talk about our life in general and we get some bits from each other, so it’s cool. It’s not about only on the track.”
Bearman: “On the track we learn from each other. Normally there is not one thing he is better at or I am better. There is not really a trend.”
Antonelli: “But every weekend we learn from each other, maybe a corner where one is doing better and where another is doing worse. But also, I think our relationship is good because we share somethings about our life as well, so that’s important.”
WHAT IS ONE THING YOU’VE ALWAYS WANTED TO SAY TO THE OTHER BUT HAVEN’T YET?
Antonelli: “I don’t know to be honest.”
Bearman: “One thing is that I want the invitation to your birthday.”
Antonelli: “I haven’t told him yet but the invitation to my birthday. I need to actually tell him when it is.”
WHO SPENDS THE MOST TIME IN THE GYM AND WHO’S ON THE SIM MORE?
Bearman:“Kimi is for sure in the sim. That’s for sure.”
Antonelli: “In the sim, whenever I can.”
Bearman: “When I am scrolling on TikTok I see people racing against Kimi all the time.”
Antonelli: “In the gym, it depends. It depends also on the program of our trainers. But he cycles a lot, so it’s a bit hard to say on that. But on the sim, I believe it’s me because I am a bit crazy on that.”
Bearman: “He was saying after a bad weekend in Barcelona that he was going to get back at night and go on iRacing. I was thinking why would you? Only Kimi would do that.”
Antonelli: “I actually did.”
Bearman: “Yeah, and you crashed into some people.”
Antonelli: “Yeah.”

WHO WOULD WIN IN AN ARM WRESTLING MATCH?
Bearman: “You have to say yourself. I have longer arms that’s the thing.”
Antonelli: “I don’t want to try.”
Bearman:“I have some scary stories, some people break their arms. We can do it after Abu Dhabi.”
Antonelli: “We can do it at my birthday.”
